Okay, okay I know I am really really late on this trend BUT I still feel like I need to show you it, even though I’m positive you’ve seen these before. I noticed these fruit infused water on Pinterest quite a while ago, but I just scrolled past, not taking a second look. Trying to drink water is probably one of the hardest things to do for me. It’s not that I don’t like the taste of water, it’s that I’m never thirsty, I swear I could go all day without drinking anything. Also water just bores me.
These have definitely helped me drink more water just from the flavours alone. They are nothing like boring old plain water. These waters are so simple to make, and taste delicious. Here are my two favourite fruit infused water “recipes”.
For both recipes mix everything together in a tall glass, and enjoy!
To be completely honest I don’t like raspberries or even any berries at all for that matter. But what I do like is the flavour of berries. The flavour of the raspberries and the limes combined do amazing things. The raspberries really shine through in this. Of course the longer you let the water sit with the fruit in it, the stronger the flavours will be.
This one by far is my favourite. I love the flavours of fresh mint mixed with the lemon, it’s so refreshing. It just screams healthy to me. These are perfect for a hot sunny afternoon. Keep a jug of this the fridge so you can refill your glass a few times a day.
Another delicious version is strawberries and fresh basil.
